Pre cook your meat

Cooking up a chicken breast specifically for your salad can be inconvenient. Instead, cook an extra one next time it's on the menu, slice it up and freeze for salads later.

freeze your cooked rice

This is especially good if you're into bento-style lunches. The secret is to wrap and freeze it while the rice is still hot. This traps the moisture and prevents it from drying out.

Grab and go lunches

If you find you never have the energy to pack a lunch in the morning, a bit of planning ahead can help. Just grab one of the containers, put it in a brown bag, and go.

Freeze raw eggs

yes you can and they will stay fresh for a year

Use ice cube strays for portioning and beat whole eggs before freezing. Whites can be frozen as-is, but yolks will  need a bit of salt or sugar to prevent gelatinization.
